Biography

Dr. Evangelos Vlachos is a Tenured Researcher (Researcher C) at the Industrial Systems Institute (ISI) of ATHENA RC, specializing in Joint Communication, Control, and Sensing (JC&S).

Focusing on 6G networks and Cyber-Physical Systems, he aims to bridge fundamental research with practical applications by validating theoretical models in real-world environments.

He has served as Principal Investigator (PI) in competitive research projects (such as EUSOME and SPLASH, securing >€850k in funding), while his published work includes 47 papers with more than 1,100 citations. He is currently a Visiting Researcher at the University of Sussex, with previous research experience at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Patras.
